Bell 204 helicopters in G.I. Jane

G.I. Jane (1997) - Ridley Scott's feminist movie includes one dramatic shot of a Bell 204 Huey hovering over US Navy SEAL trainees (including the heroine of the title, played by Demi Moore), during their hard workout in the surf, where the low-flying helicopter adds wind chill to the rough shoreline conditions.

Hueys also appear in other scenes.

Later, there's some proper rotary action when helicopters (including a Cobra gunship), from a US aircraft carrier, evacuate the rescue team from a Libyan beach.

The rescue chopper featured is a Sikorsky S-61R/ CH-3. This is probably the same helicopter that carries the trainees to the SERE training site earlier in the movie.

This movie also features Boeing (MD) AH-64A Apache helicopters. They can be seen parked on the tarmac when the heroine first arrives at the base, and later when the base commandant is jogging around the base.

At the end of the movie, there is a brief shot of a Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk flying over the harbour in the distance.
